I've got a Precision Digital PD6300 meter connected via a PDA1485 to a Grid45 by GridConnect. I can see the Grid45 on my computer and have it configured properly for the PD6300. I am not able to figure out how to get Modbus XPF to connect with the Grid45

Your hardware chain looks like this: PD6300 (RS-485/RTU) → PDA1485 → Grid45 → TCP/IP → Your Computer
Connecting with Modbus Monitor XPF via Grid45
Since the Grid45 converts the RS-485/RTU device into a Modbus TCP server, you can connect to it in Modbus Monitor XPF as follows:
- Open the Client Tab
- Set Interface to TCP.
- (Use Modbus TCP by default, or RTU over TCP if your setup requires it.)
- Enter TCP Settings
- In the TCP area, enter the IP address of the Grid45 (on your LAN).
- Set the Port (default is 502 for Modbus TCP, unless changed in the Grid45 config).
- Add a Monitoring Point
- Go to the Home Tab → click + in the List section.
- Configure the point:
- Name: PV (or any label you prefer)
- Address: e.g., Register 40001 (check PD6300 Modbus map)
- Slave ID: e.g., 1
- Start Polling
- Return to the Client Tab.
- Click Start (Client Poll Section) to begin communication and view live data.
Attach the Modbus Map of your device and any helpful info so we can help you with exact values.
